Each neighborhood has 7 purpose-built channels with differentiated UIs:

3. Marketplace - buy/sell/free. Photo-first layout, price badges, "DM Seller" buttons. Neighbor-to-neighbor only, no business ads
4. Recommendations - contractor, restaurant, service reviews. Star ratings, searchable directory
5. Events - local happenings with date/time, maps, RSVP buttons, attendee counts
6. Towne Hall - political and civic debate. Opt-in only. Posts flagged as political auto-move here

## Moderation

Towne uses community-driven moderation:
- Upvotes/downvotes determine content visibility (HN-style time-decay ranking)
- Political flag system: community categorizes political content; flagged posts fade and move to Towne Hall

- All thresholds are server-configurable

Members verify their neighborhood residence through:

Q: Is my data safe?
A: Yes. We use Supabase with TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest. We never sell data. Location data is deleted after verification.

Q: How do I join?
A: Download Towne from the App Store, sign up, select your neighborhood, and verify your address. Founding Member spots (first 50 per neighborhood, first year free, then $50/year locked for life) are limited.
